Today I had what I call a really strong day. I needed emotional strength, physical strength and spiritual strength. The villagers here are often treated by witch doctors and have curses put upon their lives. They try everything out of desperation. This land is in need of a spiritual and medical healing. AIDS and sickness is rampant.

Hello from extremely dry, sweltering, windy blowing dirt Northern Uganda. This place reminds me a lot of the Texas Panhandle, Palo Duro Area in the dead of summer. They even get torrential rains like we do, only we have shelters, our homes, to get inside, most here have little protection.

So with great sadness I left there on a search for a new place to reside for two more days. I went to two places which were not available, and then found a wonderful place, the Nile Anchor Palace. What a dream of a place. I am stylin’ here! This is my oasis for two days before I go to Northern Uganda.

How Beautiful are the Feet…

I have feet problems. This may not be the type of post you want to hear from Uganda, but it affects everything I do. All of these problems are ones I have inherited. My feet by now are not attractive. They swell easily and I am being told I need about 3 progressional surgeries on each foot to fix them. I’m not ready to succumb to constant rehabilitation of my feet. I have work to do, places to go, things to see. I can’t be bothered by these feet right now
