My favorite thing…waiting at the airport, I’m still in Uganda at the Entebbe Airport.
After marathon shopping, which was really calculated for how much money I would need, I shopped in the rain today outside at the National Theater until I dropped. It is a huge cultural center full of vendors selling all sorts of African arts and crafts. I bought as much as my bags would allow.
Beautiful and magnificent, I will treasure these things always. I am seeing all the Mzungu’s here with musical instruments and I’m no exception, I bought a great but rather small wooden xylophone. I love it! I bought it from a girl from the Royal family. Her father was the man that went into the area first to check it out, then played the drums to announce the king’s arrival. We really meet interesting people just on the street.
I even met amazing people at the Friday craft market with some wonderful stories.
I will be getting on the plane in 5 hours. UGH I’m here really early but….TIA (This is Africa) you hurry up and wait.
