I’ve been needing some great news and here it is. There have been about 21 families stuck in Uganda (where I’m about to travel) trying to get their adopted children out of the country. Uganda has a process whereby the families take legal guardianship of the child then return to the US to process the finalization of the adoption. There was a new US consulate and they were not issuing visas for the children to exit until some very specific language was written in the guardianship decrees.
Yesterday the US State Department issued the statement we were waiting on all this time!
That IS great news!
The best news yet, now I can be fairly confident that everything will work out for the absolute best for the children.
