I’m in Texas! My bags made it to Dallas even, I saw them, now if they will just make the last leg we are set!
Tonight I have cankles, my poor legs and feet are so swollen from sitting and walking and standing for the last 35 hours. I think that the jet lag is settling in on me right now and I’m really disoriented. I feel like I’m floating around and to describe it, like I’m experiencing everything through a fog. I can’t fall asleep here or I’ll miss them calling my flight. I’m fighting it with a diet mountain dew.
I’m almost home, but of course Texas is Home Sweet Home. I have about a 9 hour lay-over here, UGH, but it will be worth it, only 2 hours to go now.
I have been lugging around my camera equipment and my giant tote now for three weeks. Then for the Romania trip before. I’m ready for my purse again! Every bone and muscle fiber of my being is sore. I enjoy getting there but the flight part isn’t that fun. I hope soon I will be laying down where it is cool!!
I look really rough, feel really stinky, my hair looks like Roseann Roseannadanna from the humidity but I don’t even care. Africa gave me a real acceptance of taking people as they are. That means me too. lol
I have to accept me right now. In all my two day travelers glory
welcome home lori! another safe journey home for the weary traveller 🙂
Thanks Linda, I still have many stories so stay tuned!
It is so wonderful to see that Texas Star! Happy homecoming!
