As always my time here is too short. Anyone that knows me well knows I love this country and could easily live here. I like the life here, the simple life. I don’t care about the hardships, the frustrations….I still could live here. I can listen to the Romanians talk and understand a lot. I think given about 4 months I would be speaking it enough to communicate.
Don’t worry I do have other stories that I am going to write about my trip here and some really exciting events. Some of those will get posted after I come back. I got sick and had a disaster of a connection when I was in Tirgoviste. Tonight I’ve had my Romanian Theraflu and hopefully in the morning I feel much better. I couldn’t even eat tonight.
Enough of the whining about my illness…I’m just super thankful that the clouds apparently opened up and the ash fell away and I can fly. It is 8 hours later than planned but I can still take my trip to Sofia. I hope I’m not a coughing mess though! My colleagues were worried about my plans to come there too but are happy that I will still be coming. I cannot believe there was a single spot open!
I love the ability to have a phone here all the time with my OneSim Card. Although I’m begging people to call me! LOL
I think I may turn in early, sleep a little late. Get up and see the kids one last time and say my goodbyes. Then I will come pack, what a feat that will be. I thought I got lighter but with all the gifts and presents from everyone and what I bought I might have added weight. Glad I didn’t have to maneuver all my stuff through the train.
I just had to do a spell check and messed up on the sentence above and inserted manure. Figures. Noapte Buna!
Hope you feel better Lori.
I’m working on it!!!
Thanks Lori, your comments have helped knowing someone is out there!
