I’m up with the Islamic call to prayer again! Akkk….I did want to sleep a little later today, oh well.
Yesterday was such an eventful day but I want to honor it and my trip up North with a post that includes photos so I will have to write about those when I return home and can upload.
Yesterday, I went to an orphanage village. It was really a spectacular place. We handed out bracelets to all the kids and I kept praying for God to multiply them as the children were coming out of the brush from everywhere. I think I brought about 200 bracelets.
We also drove around the village looking at what had been accomplished and set up the plans for sending volunteer teams there. We got stuck in the mud in the road and thank goodness for cell phones and young strong orphan boys. We pushed the car out. All the time I’m feeling like the queen in the sweltering car not having to go into the mud.
It was a fabulous day!
Today I will go to church with my friend Chris and his family. Farouk our driver will also go with us then we will travel to the source of the Nile, where Lake Victoria pours into the Nile.
There is always an adventure ahead! I was so tired from the heat and the kids last night I didn’t have a chance to write.
Are you all still with me? I don’t see anyone commenting! Where are you all? Maybe I’m journaling alone?
lori, i’m here! love reading about your travel adventures -- keep writing!
i’m becoming more and more amazed at what you do and how you do it. truly inspiring 🙂
I am always here Lori! I can only imagine what the Nile was like. Cleopatra… You did say you felt like a queen did you not?! Each day brings forth a new adventure for you! I do very much want to hear about the church service you attended. Thank you for writing in such a way that allows for me to somehow feel as if I am there with you.
God Bless~
