Close to the subway, three blocks from the river, such a find! Ohhhh did I mention shopping district?? Oh my goodness. I wish I wasn’t so tired. I just walked down but I had my heels on and came back after about 2 hours because my feet hurt! I really do think that everyone would love this area. Two blocks down you can hear musicians, eat, shop until you drop!!!

At the Hotel all of the people working the front desk spoke very good English and were very helpful. Both hotel choices that I made for the center city are good ones. Safe, great locations, and comfortable. For people staying here a month at a time, this would be a very livable location. Below the hotel is an Irish pub that serves food until 10 pm.

BTW the Cappuccino’s here are the absolute best! Adam said that Hungary has the best in all the world! What do you think? I’ve had two now and I’m hooked! I so wish that Amarillo had walking areas like Europe with little cafe’s.

I must try some Dobos cake before I leave too. I took a few photos there which I’ll try to post up tonight. We bought some fresh bread and some Hungarian spicy sausage to have for a little breakfast. He told me the type of pig that the sausage is made from, the Mangalitsa. The Mangalitsa or wooly pig doesn’t contain the belly fat like other pigs, it is a much more healthy cut of meat and produces very lean meat. He said that the sausage is more expensive. It was seasoned with delicious paprika and I am in love with it! Of course, the pigs are pretty cute too!

I’m back in Budapest, on the “Pest” side of the Danube.
