{"id":383,"date":"2010-06-12T23:48:37","date_gmt":"2010-06-13T04:48:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thespicytexan.com\/travel\/?p=383"},"modified":"2010-06-12T23:48:37","modified_gmt":"2010-06-13T04:48:37","slug":"up-early-with-the-moslems","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thespicytexan.com\/travel\/up-early-with-the-moslems\/","title":{"rendered":"Up Early With the Moslems"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m up with the Islamic call to prayer again!\u00a0 Akkk&#8230;.I did want to sleep a little later today, oh well.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday was such an eventful day but I want to honor it and my trip up North with a post that includes photos so I will have to write about those when I return home and can upload.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, I went to an orphanage village.\u00a0\u00a0 It was really a spectacular place.\u00a0 We handed out bracelets to all the kids and I kept praying for God to multiply them as the children were coming out of the brush from everywhere.\u00a0 I think I brought about 200 bracelets.<\/p>\n<p>We also drove around the village looking at what had been accomplished and set up the plans for sending volunteer teams there.\u00a0 We got stuck in the mud in the road and thank goodness for cell phones and young strong orphan boys.\u00a0 We pushed the car out.\u00a0 All the time I&#8217;m feeling like the queen in the sweltering car not having to go into the mud.<\/p>\n<p>It was a fabulous day!<\/p>\n<p>Today I will go to church with my friend Chris and his family.\u00a0\u00a0 Farouk our driver will also go with us then we will travel to the source of the Nile, where Lake Victoria pours into the Nile.<\/p>\n<p>There is always an adventure ahead!\u00a0 I was so tired from the heat and the kids last night I didn&#8217;t have a chance to write.<\/p>\n<p>Are you all still with me?\u00a0 I don&#8217;t see anyone commenting!\u00a0 Where are you all?\u00a0 Maybe I&#8217;m journaling alone?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday, I went to an orphanage village.
